Alice Cochran - Senior Therapist/Director  From a young age Alice has had a passion for the beauty industry and dreamed of owning her own salon.... So Alice cemented her destiny in 2002 by applying to study Beauty Therapy at Auckland University of Technology, where she gained top marks in every element of the course. Since completing her studies, Alice has excelled in all facets of the Beauty Therapy industry. From working in top spas here and in London, being the first therapist in New Zealand to receive the 100 hr Post Graduate diploma through the Dermal institute, to working as a Post-graduate Educator for qualified therapists. She also has had experience in an Account Management role for Beauty suppliers, working with Beauty Salons throughout New Zealand. In 2010- Alice, along with her Husband Jeremy Cochran, took the plunge and put her extensive experience to work in her own salon, Hibiscus Room. While she’s well versed in all aspects of beauty therapy, Alice is particularly famous for is her “magical facials”, which are both luxurious, result orientated and have ensured clients always return for more. Taylor McKenzie - Beauty and Spa Therapist  Taylor is a graduate from Elite International School of Beauty and Spa Therapies where she attained her Premiere Diploma in Beauty and Spa Therapy, she also holds a CIBTAC diploma in Beauty and Body Therapy and an ITEC diploma in Beauty Therapy. (international qualifications) Taylor was awarded Electrolysis Student of the year at her graduation from both Elite International. Taylor endeavoured into the work force and decided Beauty Therapy was the place for her. Taylor says: “ I've learnt so much already, about the industry, clients and extending my skills. I can’t wait to see what’s next and dive in head first. I enjoy beauty therapy and all it has to offer for both myself and my clients.” Since working at Hibiscus Room, i have been named " The brow Queen " So ask for me if you are looking for those perfect brows.. Billie Thomas-Mckenzie - Beauty and Spa Therapist  Billie is a graduate from Elite International School of Beauty and Spa Therapies where she attained her Premiere Diploma in Beauty and Spa Therapy. She also holds a CIBTAC diploma in Beauty and Body Therapy and an ITEC diploma in Beauty Therapy. “My passion for beauty therapy is largely results driven. I believe everyone is different and everyone has different concerns and needs, so I like to attend to clients individually and build my treatment around what will work best for them. I am big on a healthy mind and wellbeing; therefore I love massage and find the benefits great for stress relief, aches and pains, relaxation and purely to make sure the client leaves feeling as though they are walking on clouds. My specialty is high quality waxing as I am a perfectionist and love seeing results from a good wax. It’s great to be part of the hibiscus room team as it’s a fantastic work environment and everyone is so supportive and friendly. Rebekah Hogarth - Salon Assistant/Reception/Beauty Therapist  Rebekah is a graduate from Elite where she gained her Premier Diploma in Beauty and SPA Therapies with distinction and also achieved international qualifications for both beauty and body therapies (CIBTAC and CIDESCO). Rebekah has been working at Hibiscus room since August 2012 on practicum but has stepped up to her role in 2013 as Jr. Therapist and Salon Assistant with enthusiasm. Rebekah’s favourite treatments to perform are facials and massage and will send you home a changed person with the stunning facials and massage she provides. “I love beauty therapy. It gives me a chance to use my talents to help others smile, take time out of their busy days to treat themselves, relax, feel more beautiful, and ultimately improve their overall health.” |
